Privacy Policy
Basis: Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). For visitors from the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may also apply. This is a translation; in case of discrepancy, the German version prevails.

2. Contact form and enquiries
If you contact me by email or via the contact form, I process the details you provide. In the form, these are your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your message. For a quote, you can voluntarily add further details: package, additional services, number of participants, date and location of the event, preferred start date, company or club, address and phone number.
I use these details to answer your enquiry and to prepare a quote. For this, I transfer them to my quoting and invoicing software on my computer. The entries are also stored in this website’s database and sent to me by email.
I do not pass your details on to third parties without your consent, except to the technical service providers listed in section 9, who process them on my behalf only. I keep them for as long as necessary for the enquiry, any quote and follow-up questions. If an order results, statutory retention obligations apply.
3. Server log files
When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically records technical data in server log files (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser and operating system used). This data serves the secure and stable operation of the website and does not allow any direct conclusions about your person.
4. Cookies, consent and statistics
Consent. On your first visit, a banner asks whether you allow analytics cookies. Without your consent, I set no analytics cookies. I store your choice in cookies (cmplz_* and wp_consent_*) so that the banner does not appear on every visit. These cookies are valid for 365 days. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the «Cookie settings» button at the bottom of every page. The banner is provided by the Complianz plugin, which runs on my server and does not send any data to Complianz.
Google Analytics 4. With your consent, I use Google Analytics 4 by Google to understand how my website is used. For example: which pages are viewed, where visitors come from and whether an enquiry was sent (visit of the thank-you page after the form). For this, Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_73EHP80E4Z (valid for up to 2 years). Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Detailed data on individual visits is deleted after 2 months; aggregated statistics remain. Google Analytics is integrated via the Site Kit by Google plugin.
Without consent. If you do not consent, Google sets no cookies. The website then only sends cookieless signals to Google, for example that a page was viewed, with technical details such as browser and time. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted. Google uses these signals, without reference to your person, for modelled statistics. I do not use Google’s advertising features. Even with your consent, I do not release any data for advertising.
Burst Statistics. In addition, I use the Burst Statistics plugin for simple, anonymous visitor statistics. It sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses, and all data stays on my own server.
Technically necessary cookies. The shop system (Easy Digital Downloads), the payment service Stripe (see section 7) and the website’s security software set technically necessary cookies. They serve exclusively the operation and security of the site and do not require consent.
5. Google Fonts
For the typography of this website, I load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser retrieves the fonts directly from Google’s servers and, for technical reasons, transmits your IP address to Google. Google does not set cookies in the process. I use this so that the website looks consistent.
6. Instagram
This website links to my Instagram profile (@florin.schmid). When you click the link, you are taken to the Instagram platform (Meta Platforms), whose own privacy policy applies. No Instagram content that transfers data merely by visiting is embedded on this website.
7. Shop and payment
When you buy in the shop, I process your name, email address, billing details and order data to fulfil the contract, provide your licence and handle support. Payment is processed by the payment provider you choose (Stripe or PayPal), which processes your payment data under its own responsibility and privacy policy; I do not receive your full card details. I keep order and accounting data for as long as required by law.
To keep payments secure, the website loads Stripe’s service on all pages. Stripe sets the cookies __stripe_mid (1 year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes) to detect and prevent fraud. These cookies are necessary for a secure payment process.
If you reach this website via a link containing campaign parameters (UTM) and place an order, I store these parameters with the order to measure the success of my marketing.
8. Proshot Studio (app)
Proshot Studio is a desktop app with local project management. Your projects and images are stored on your computer and are not transferred to me. For the licence check and update check, the app sends your licence key, a random device ID (with no personal data) and the version number to florinschmid.com.
The basic correction «⚡ Proshot», the looks and the editor run entirely locally on your computer; no photos and no data are transferred to OpenAI or to me. Requests typed into the request field of the basic correction are also interpreted locally. Only if the app does not understand a request and you explicitly confirm «Translate and start» does it send the text you entered, and nothing else (no photo), to OpenAI using your own API key.
For AI editing («Try with AI» and the functions under «AI & more», for example AI Proshot, AI looks, Commands, retouching, sky replacement, social extend and AI Auto), the app sends the image being edited, or a reduced-size preview of it, together with the editing instructions, directly to OpenAI using your own API key, after you explicitly confirm; OpenAI’s terms and privacy policy apply (OpenAI data policy). Only images you edit with AI are sent; imported photos you do not edit are not. OpenAI is based in the USA.
9. Recipients and transfers abroad
To operate this website, I work with service providers who process personal data on my behalf:
- Hosting: The website is hosted on servers of Hostpoint AG in Switzerland.
- Google (Google Analytics, Google Fonts): Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA.
- Stripe (payment): Stripe Payments Europe Limited, Ireland.
- PayPal (payment): the PayPal entity responsible for your PayPal account.
- OpenAI (only for AI editing and request translation in Proshot Studio, see section 8): USA.
Some of these providers are based in the USA or may transfer data there. For companies certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the USA is considered to provide adequate data protection. Google LLC is certified accordingly. For the other providers, any transfer to the USA is based, depending on the provider, on such a certification or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
10. Your rights
Within the scope of applicable data protection law, you have the right to information about the data processed about you and to have this data corrected or deleted. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future; for cookies via «Cookie settings» at the bottom of every page. An informal message to the address below is sufficient.
You can also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU with the data protection authority of your country of residence.
